An evening with SUPER 30 Students & Abhayanand Sir

During HOLI  I was in Patna to enjoy Holi as well as to meet my parents and grand parents . On 12th March , I rang Abhayanand Sir and put my desire to meet him which he accpeted and allow me to visit him after 5 PM in his office . So sharp 5 PM , I was at  his office .He is now ADG ( Bihar Military Office ) of 16,000 policemen means more than any small state  but the office location and campus was same where in Lalu -Rabri raaj many such officers were cornered .

I read many articles on different newspapers where It was written that BMP no more to dump officers but too active to play active role in Bihar Administration . One senior journalist told me It was state govt decision to send BMP to revive this biggest force of Bihar Police . It was clean . Few cars with red beacon were there and office hour was almost over . After my few query related to Super 30 we both moved towards the location where Super 30 students are preparing .

Rahmani Super 30 - After deassociating with Anand Kumar and getting heavy pressure from Rahmani Saheb , Abhayanand Sir decided to GUIDE the Muslims Super 30 and people say on the very launch day It was a massive crowd to listen Abhayanand Sir and very next day it was strong rumour about Abhayanad Sir plan to join Politics while he denied strongly and always tell Politics is not my cup of tea . ( I too wonder - The way our politicians has played MUSLIM CARD that whenever Any person wants to help this community - people relate it with POLITICs )  Then One senior journalist asked me - Why someone will devote scores of his hours to help poor students ? I was sad to know the people mentality and fired return question to him - why many IAS , IPS or IRS merely survive on Govt Salary than to loot people ?

Any way , I asked Abhayanand Sir about the progress of Muslims Super 30 . He told me they are doing fine and batch is under the process of final preparation and Tests are going on . If all are well then Many of them can crack the IIT JEE with High ranks also .  There are dedicated teacher for Mathematics , Physics and Chemistry all three teachers are directly associated with Abhayanand sir . Even Abhayanand Sir make regular visit to station and each & every students are asked about thier weak points . Many of them falled in love with specific chapters or subject they are counselled .

There is a unique process of making Super 30 OR you can very simple - Hard Work , Free Accomodation , Free Meal and dedicated teachers .

It is too easy to write such things but very discipline and dedication is required . Many students have not met thier parents OR talked thier parents . Its look like pure Gurukool . There is a caretaker for taking care of students other need like Meals , Clothes , Books , and managing Test scores . All students look very innocent and naive where they try to solve thier Physics , Mathematics and Chemistry problems by discussing themselves . Only Hints are given by teachers OR many times not even Hints . This makes students to become Problem solver . This problem solving attitude helps them even in thier other career .

After Launching Rahmani Super - 30 , Abhayanand Sir made effort to start more batches in other District Headquarters with local support like in Gaya ( Magadh ) , Biharshrif ( Nalanda ) , and Patna (Patliputra  ) Many such batches are not having upto 30 students due to less advertisements and local teacher . But whatever they have - All students are now in Patna for last stage and they are clearing doubts by Patna based expert teachers .

Apart from running and guiding various Super 30 , Under Abhayanand Sir guidance Sports -30 are in nascent phase where free coaching is provided to train and these have started participation in local tournament .

The best thing he did was reviving a dead Bihar Military Hospital with the help of its Policemen and was inaugrated by oldest Sepoy of this regiment and was welcomed by all section of society .

He is so down to earth and discipline that During meeting students individually - he always use AAP and encourage students from weaker section to crack IIT JEE with high score than to depend on Quota . He always very punctual same was comment from his other co teachers .

BTN: Should Election 2009 Be Utilised To Define Secularism? Constitution Fails To Define.

Dear informed citizens:

If we categorize the election (India Votes 2009) in to two prime ideological categories - secular and non-secular - few interesting observations for you.
  • NDA has 1 PM candidate - Shri L.K.Advani
  • UPA-Congress - Dr. Manmohan Singh
  • UPA-LJP - Ramvilas Paswan
  • UPA- Sharad power
  • 3rd Front - (they are already (call themselves )3rd - said Dr. M.M.Joshi, BJP)
    • Mayawati
    • Naveen Patnaik
    • Deve Gowda (he says no.. but you don't know him - he may push his son). Both Father and son make a hell of a  'dramabaz' team.
    • Jayalalitha
    • Left party - Prakash Karat ?
    • Lalu
3rd front - the opportunistic front - the heavy weights will/might  cancel out each other. So chance of light weight Naveen Patnaik. A repeat of I.K.Gujral

Result: Appasement of minorities
           Appeasement of China
           Appeasement of Pakistan and Bangladesh
           Harassment  of US
           Harassment of Hindus
            Harassment of Israel
No Citizen Identification card to facilitate illegal immigration from Bangladesh
Corruption cases will be dropped against Lalu, Jayalalitha, Mayawati, Mulayam
Why NDA and UPA will support full 5 years to such a 3rd rated government ? after 6 months or max 1 year - one more election.
Taslimas will be kicked out and Afzal Gurus will be awarded 'Bharat ratna'

Eminent HT columnist and nationalist Professional Engineer. Suraj Singh further elaborates..

By P Eng Suraj Singh-Should Election 2009 Be Utilised To Define Secularism? Constitution Fails To Define. What The Bharat India People Should Opt For Settlement As An Integrated Society? Shall Hindus Make Some Affirmative Demand? Why Should We Skip To Keep Secularism Undefined?

BlogPosted By: suraj on:3/17/2009 11:24:49 AM

It is a well known fact that the term secularism that has been made a part of preambles on the constitution along with other basic principles had been added on to the constitution in year 1976 during emergency era on the behest of Indira Nehru Khan Gandhi. It is also not clear what made it essential for Indira to include this term with the basic law when the nation had been smoothly moving without the addition of this term. All religions were respected as well as practiced freely without any degree of fear.

The people of Bharat India never had any frictional alignment with the exception of certain occasion during Bharat breaking into Bharat & Pakistan. Should we refer to the history of Bharat India, we shall find that it was Muslims & Christians from the other part of the world who conducted with cruelty with the basic native Hindus in Bharat India & this treatment continued for thousands of years by Muslims while for centuries by Christians.

The community of Hindus always suffered with full tolerance & complied with what the Vedas & Hindu holy books speak about. The Hindus always conducted as a peaceful community & never attacked the other nations. Yet, the Hindus have been considered as a devil community for the Christians as well as Muslims. There was no non Hindu in Bharat but all non Hindus are the converted lot who could not interpret the Vedas rightly & were misled by their own mighty religions. Their own religions do not recognize the honour of Hindus while Hindus may believe in Jesus & Mohammad secularly. The Muslims & Christians do not believe secularly.

Well, it is not aimed herein to talk of religions but the inclusion of secularism with the constitution is a topic of debate. All political parties owe to the people of Bharat who are being constitutional voters now for 15th Lok Sabha pertaining to the definition of understanding the term Secularism. Does Secularism include the freedom of being a Hindu or exclusively meant for the protection of Non Hindus from Hindus.

It is a fundamental & a natural right of every Hindu voter to demand an explanation particularly from all those political parties who proclaim themselves leaders of the secularism while appeasing the non Hindus in Bharat with full condemnation of the Hindu population. The Congress & the Left are the leaders of such proclamations while Lalu, Mulayam etc. are the narrow leaders who just intend to cook their food in the political Mess.

The future of the nation depends much on the recognition, honour & respect of Hindus & its religion on the same values as non Hindus are considered by the Congress & others. Hindus are the owner of this land. They should demand back their lost dignity from around the world. Pakistan was created in the name of Islam just opposed to the Bharat India. Now Pakistan has started deteriorating to political debris that may be sometimes converted to either a Taliban colony or US colony. The once beautiful part of Akhand Bharat has gone to others for none of the faults of Bharat Hindus.

Since, Hindus have remained sleeping for centuries submitting to just the cause of national development without caring for the Dharma, the time has come that the community must raise questions to the political would be guards for the real recognition of Hindus failing which the Islam as well as the Christianity would take over the nation in the coming future. Congress is hell bent to transform the religious map of the nation with condemning fully the Hindus. The definition of Secularism must deal with the Hindus at the top in all respects being the real owners of the nation. Hindus have been bashed so far but now this bashing must stop. There are millions of Bharat people who keeping the Hindu names have been converted to Christianity. This is not a healthy signal for a diverse society like Bharat.

It is a well known fact the talk of Hindus is considered on the communal lines while the talks of other communities is on secular grounds. This concept is leading the nation to religious hell with thanks due to the constitution. The constitution must be made clear & fair. The nation can never remain secular by the condemnation of Hindus & adopting the Western values to pollute & adulterate the Bharat culture. The 2009 voter for 15th Lok Sabha must keep in view the future of the real secular Bharat by forcing the politicians to respond to the definition of the top principle term within the constitution or else it shall be too late for the new generation as well as the nation. Terrorism menace cannot be combat without the real solution of the problematic term of secularism in Bharat India constitution. It is hoped that the voters shall make a move on the vote demanders so that these political servants know their job descriptions very well. Too sad it is that these rulers rule based on the Hindus votes while keep on bashing them continuously. We the people of Bharat must not submit to these politicians this time.

Jai Bharat Vandematram

P Eng Suraj Singh

Give leftover medicines to NGO

Have you ever realised that the leftover medicines in your house can actually give a new lease of life to those who die for want of medicines or because they can't afford to purchase medicines.

Patients do not take the medicines prescribed for them for a variety of different reasons. Sometimes people are discharged from hospital with a bag of medicines to take home just in case they suffer certain symptoms - for example they may be given some extra strong painkillers in case they suffer severe pain after an operation.

Sometimes a medicine doesn't suit the patient and they go back to their doctor to get something different. Sometimes the patient gets better and doesn't need the medicine after all, and sometimes sadly the patient dies.

These unused medicines are literally life-savers to people in desperately poor parts of India who would otherwise be unable to afford them , or even in some cases may be treated at a health care centre that simply cannot obtain them.

www.givemedicines. org is a web based platform which aims to bring individuals and organisations who wish to donate unused medicines and Organisations / NGO's who need medicines together.
So open your cupboards, medicine chest , organise a unused medicine collection drive in your locality or office and donate them to the organizations who need them.

Discovery Channel to telecast film on Bihar's Super 30

Patna, March 14 :The success story of a Bihar-based coaching institute will be telecast by Discovery Channel this weekend, showing how its underprivileged and marginalised students make their way to India's premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).

"The Discovery Channel would telecast the inspiring story of Super 30 Sunday afternoon and March 21 and 29. This is the first time Discovery has chosen something positive from Bihar for telecast," said Anand Kumar, who runs the institute, called Super 30.

Super 30 selects a group of 30 IIT aspirants from poor and marginalised families and provides free coaching, food and accommodation. Last year all the students of Super 30 passed the highly competitive IIT entrance exam.

"It was the first time that Super 30 achieved 100 percent success. The success of Super 30 lies in hard work and proper guidance for achieving excellent result," Kumar said.

An hour-long documentary, produced by Veronica Hall and directed by Christopher Mitchell, captured all aspects of the mission started by mathematician Anand Kumar seven years ago. The film, shot over a year, shows how the students develop confidence in themselves despite their impoverished backgrounds.

"It is a very inspiring story which the people would certainly like to see and know. This is the reason Discovery decided to show a one-hour documentary on the successful experiment of Anand, which has shaped many lives," said Rajiv Bakshi of the Discovery Channel.

Director of the film Christopher Mitchell said the film had evoked tremendous response.

"Super 30 is an amazing initiative and it needs to be taken to maximum people around the globe," said Mitchell, whose film also bagged the Audience Choice Award at the sixth Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.

BTN: Poll test for Nitish caste politics

Poll test for Nitish caste politics

Patna, March 12: Nitish Kumar is often compared with his Orissa counterpart Naveen Patnaik or other "more successful chief ministers" for his outlook and his style of governance.

But, the fact remains that the Bihar chief minister has also carried out a social engineering, concomitant with the development-oriented activities of his government.

Nitish's social engineering aims at organising castes and communities that have so far been either sidelined or ignored and that could translate into a sizeable vote bank when organised.

The forthcoming Lok Sabha election is set to test Nitish's performance, as well as his so-called experiments with the Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) such as Mahadalits, along with Muslims.

The first thing that Nitish Kumar did after taking over as the chief minister in November 2005 was to increase the women's quota in local bodies from a 33 per cent to 50 per cent.

He also fixed a 20 per cent quota in the local bodies for EBCs and constituted a Mahadalit Commission.

"The idea was to take the existing social order and caste combination in the caste-ruled politics of Bihar and create a new combination that was beneficial for all," said senior JD(U) leader.

"The chief minister successfully created a sizeable support base for his party in Bihar."

An analysis of the senior leader's remarks point to certain peculiarities in Bihar caste politics — the Dalits are not as organised in Bihar as they are in UP.

A section of Dalits (Paswan) are supporting Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP, while another section (Chamar) are with the BSP.

Lalu Prasad's RJD, too, enjoys some Dalit support.

The JD(U) also enjoys the support of Dalits, particularly in central Bihar, while CPI(ML), too, has a good number of Dalits in its cadre.

But, Nitish Kumar created a Mahadalit Commission aimed at uplifting the lifestyle of Dalits other than Chamars and Paswans.

Those who were selected by the government for "free homes, education, drinking water" were labelled as Mahadalits — comprising 35 per cent of the total Dalit population in the state.

Now the JD(U) can look forward to the whole-hearted support of Mahadalits in the coming polls.

Similarly, by ensuring 20 per cent reservation to the EBCs — backward castes with less clout than the dominant Yadavs and Kurmis — the chief minister has made a calculated bid to organise a big group of backward classes in his favour.

He has also created a new vote bank comprising women — so far not reckoned as a force.

Apart from the new combinations, Nitish has gone the whole hog in doling out largess to the Muslims in a bid to neutralise Lalu Prasad's formidable Muslim-Yadav combination.

However, observers believe that his efforts to exclude the Muslims from the Lalu- led UPA combination, may not work particularly in the coming polls in which L.K. Advani is being fielded as NDA's prime ministerial nominee.

Their (Muslim) support for Nitish Kumar may not translate into votes for the NDA as long as the Babri mosque and Gujarat riots are fresh in the minds of Indians.

Hon Secretary General:

SUB:  REMOVAL OF DISPARITY IN THE VOTING SYSTEM IN UNITED NATIONS GENERAL  ASSEMBLY

It is a matter of great satisfaction that efforts are underway to reorganize and reform the United Nations (U.N).  However, we have noticed the following anomalies in the functioning of the U.N. which, we believe, need to be addressed immediately:

1.     There is one set of countries in the world whose population is only a few millions, e.g. Panama (3.5 M), U.A.E. (3M), Denmark (5M), Norway (4.6M), Sweden (9M),  Iceland (less than half million), Israel (7.2M), Jamaica (2.8M), and Syria (19M).  All such countries have one vote each in the United Nations General Assembly.

2.     Then, there is another set of countries in UN with population ranging from 250 million to over one billion.  Examples are countries like United States (303M), India (1.13B) and China (1.3B).  Surprisingly, these countries too have the same one vote each.  This practice of United Nations, in our humble opinion, is a completely unfair and unwarranted setup.

3.     On the surface, the above practice is sold as being respectful of even the smallest of countries on globe. But in reality, it is not only absolutely unjustified but also  inexcusable because it deprives  one-sixth of the humanity that lives in a country like India, of its rightful place in the comity of nations.

4.     We see this setup as the worst case of  under-representation in the world body. In effect, this is shutting out the voice of a colossally huge segment of human population from the shaping and functioning of the world body that is supposed to represent all human beings equally.

5.     Additionally,  the founding fathers of U.N. have unconscionably deprived the 1.13 billion people of India of the permanent membership of Security Council and, consequently, of their rightful representation in this world body.

6.     This practice of United Nations is not only unfair but also  humiliatingly misrepresentative. The peaceful, responsible and law abiding one-billion plus masses of India deserve a much better treatment.

In the interest of fair representation of humanity on the planet earth, we urge that the U.N. leadership work out some sensible formula so that this kind of wild disparity is removed from the world body.

As such, we believe that all voting in the United Nations should be measured  on the basis of each country's population.  Alternatively, each country may be given, say one vote for each block of one million people.

We further believe that a reformed system that takes the size of the countries into account while determining their voting power would represent the humanity on earth in a more fairer and meaningful manner. In end, that would minimize the resentments and would promote equity and even handedness on earth.

Very truly yours,

Narain Kataria
President

Work to revive two sugar mills started in Bihar

Two sugar mills, Sugauli and Lauriya mills will start working after being close for over twelve years.HPCL is investing Rs 600 crores to revive these mills. Therefore a potential for revenue generation.

These mills have become junk and therefore HPCL will be building new factories in place of the old ones. Work of taking over the assets of the two mills has been started on 25Th February. More details can be found in the Hindustan Times article HPCL buys 2 sugar mills, eyes ethanol, power

Elections, Politicians and Education

On a another note, I don't see the government taking any specific new steps for infrastructure or any other type of growth, because of the poll code of conduct coming into effect . So for the next two months, it would be a fruitful exercise to highlight some of the possible political dimensions and impacts that can have an effect on the future of Bihar. Hence I will be posting some relevant views where ever possible relating to the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

However everyone should take my views with a pinch of salt because like every other human being my views might be biased because of the perceptions I develop based on the events that are unfolding in Bihar.

This article in Hindustan Times caught my eye "Peep into qualifications of representatives from Bihar"

As per this article, Bihar was represented in the 14th Lok Sabha by some highly educated representatives especially when you consider the state of literacy in Bihar. Out of the 40 representatives in the Lok Sabha from Bihar, there were 34 who were at least graduates. Out of these thirty four, there were nineteen representatives who were either a postgraduate or had a technical degree like Engineering or MBBS or had a Ph D. Even out of the BAs/MAs , 9 had LLB degrees too.

So if I consider the total number of representatives in Bihar who had more than a graduation, then the number would sure be greater than 20 or more than 50%. Thus 50% of the members in the parliament from Bihar were highly educated in the 14th Lok Sabha. Many of them had been part of the 13th Lok Sabha too. There were only 3 representatives who were non-matric.

I therefore have a question... With so many educated representatives from Bihar, why is it that many of them have not done enough for Bihar's development. Why did these people, some of whom have been a MP for atleast 2 terms not think about the state? We thought education brought changes but does the Bihari politician prove this wrong? Or is it us, the people of Bihar who have given these politicians the free hand for not doing anything for Bihar?

In my view, it is time for the people of Bihar to reject any politician who has not added to the development of Bihar, irrespective of whether she/he is highly educated or less educated or not educated ... Reject all politicians who have not supported the growth of Bihar. Let the political community know that the people of Bihar will not accept any non-performers in Bihar.

I know it is not going to be easy and nor will it happen just because a handful of us think this way. But then the handful of us can be instrumental in getting across this message to a lot more people in Bihar. Are we willing to do so for Bihar?

The break up of the education of Bihar MPs are as follows

Non-matric: 3
Matriculate: 3
Intermediate: 3
BA: 12
MA: 13
Engineering: 2
MBBS: 1
Ph.D. 3

I would definitely love to find out what each one of the MPs has done for Bihar. If you do have any thoughts or ideas about the work done, specially if you have some links to relevant articles, please do post it, I would like to read about them. And I guess many others would want to do so too.

Model code comes in way of Bindra, award

PATNA: India's ace shooter and Beijing Olympics gold medallist Abhinav Bindra on Tuesday became the first "victim" of the model code of conduct when
the Bihar government postponed its earlier announced decision to award Rs 11 lakh to him following the code promulgation.

Chief minister Nitish Kumar was to hand over a cheque of the said amount to Bindra.

"The government has decided to give the award to Bindra only after getting approval from the Election Commission," said Vivek Singh, secretary, art, culture and youth affairs department.

Singh said as the model code of conduct came into effect after Bindra had reached Patna on Monday, the state government did not get time to seek EC's approval. Bindra, however, was graceful enough to attend the "felicitation ceremony" as scheduled at a packed auditorium. Local artistes presented a colourful programme depicting different aspects of the state's folk culture. Bindra spent quite some time there enjoying the programme.

Earlier, Bindra visited Takht Shri Harmandirji in Patna Saheb and paid obeisance there.

North Bihar :virtual hub of Indian Rlys

North Bihar all well set to become virtual hub of Indian Rlys
PATNA: Work on railway projects worth about Rs 55,000 crore given to Bihar by railway minister Lalu Prasad is in full swing now-a-days and most of
them are likely to be completed in two to three years.

These projects, which have been approved by the Parliament, Planning Commission and Economic Advisory Committee, will be completed on priority basis and are likely to improve the socio-economic condition of the state.

The major dream projects include wheel factory at Chhapra (Rs 1,000 crore), diesel engine factory at Marhaura in Saran (Rs 2,025 crore), electric engine factory at Madhepura (Rs 1,300 crore), goods wagon repair workshop at Sonepur (Rs 90 crore), DEMU maintenance depot at Sonepur (Rs 15 crore), wagon repair workshop at Samastipur (Rs 33 crore) and concrete sleeper factories at Madhepura, Sitamarhi and Chaksikandar (Rs 15 crore).

According to an East Central Railway (ECR) official, most of these projects were slated to be completed by 2011-2012. However, the wheel factory where civil work is already going on, will be completed this year, he said.

Fate of the much talked about diesel and electric engine factories at Marhaura and Madhepura seems to be bright now. Instead of launching these projects under private-public partnership, the railway ministry has now decided to launch them on its own. The railways have started the process to acquire land for these two ambitious projects. The railways require about 450 hectare land for the electric engine factory, an ECR official said.

Work on other dream projects of Lalu like DEMU maintenance depot, wagon repair workshop and concrete sleeper factories is also going on though the progress has been a little bit tardy. The railways have taken measures to accelerate the pace of the work on these projects under direct supervision of the Railway Board, a board official said.

That apart, the railway projects related to new broad gauge (BG) lines, conversion of tracks and passenger amenities has been top priority in the ECR. Several crores have been spent on them turning hundreds of railway stations into model stations of the Indian Railways. During Lalu's tenure, the rate of accident has come down considerably while safety of passengers has been accorded top priority, claimed a board official, adding north Bihar is all well set to become a virtual hub of the India Railways as barring coach manufacturing factory, all components and parts of the railways will be produced in Bihar in future to fulfil the requirements of the Indian Railways.
