Budding entrepreneurs in the state will get an opportunity to interact with venture capitalists, bankers, Angel investors and experts at the Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit (BES) being organized here on March 10. The state government also has plans of launching a state venture capital fund and Bihar's first incubation center on the occasion, according to the organizers.
The summit, being organized by Bihar Entrepreneurship Association (BEA) in collaboration with the state industries department, will also have a 54-hour incubation programme from March 7 to 9 to discuss various business proposals. "We have received over 150 start-ups proposals and the five best entries would get global platform," Abhishek Kumar, one of the members of BEA organizing committee, said at a press meet held on Monday.
A number of non-resident Biharis have shown interest in participating at the event and submitted their business proposals. "A participation fee of Rs 500 is being charged from entrepreneurs. We have also put up posters at all popular colleges in the city for students who have innovative ideas," he said.
State planning and development department's principal secretary Vijoy Prakash and industries department's principal secretary Naveen Verma would represent the policy-makers at the event. Some of the major Angel investors at the event would be BFund, Villgro and IntelCap etc. The summit will also have discussion on social venture capital fund, cloud funding platform, promoting equity culture and technological start-ups etc.
