Responsibilities
|
|
Network Planning
-
Coordinate the transmission frequency & capacity planning of the
network along with operations to achieve optimum network performance.
-
Prepare preliminary transmission network plan for the circle after
reviewing technical data, market survey projections to ensure maximum
return on investment during the annual network planning exercise.

Conduct all aspects of network planning related to transmission
planning, for the circle on a periodic basis to ensure optimum network
quality.
Implementation of Network Policies and Procedures
-
Implement all network engineering policies and procedures developed by
corporate office during integration of network hardware and software at
the time of installation.
External Liaisons
-
Liaise with external agencies such as DOT, VSNL,TRAI, WPC etc. at the
circle to obtain relevant approvals for network design wherever
required.

Provide the required support and coordinate with the third party
technology vendors on all aspects related to network engineering where
the vendors are executing parts of the work.
Team Building and Employee Development
-
Build team by guiding and developing subordinates.
Budget and Cost Control
-
Recommend suitable budgets based on transmission network plans for the
circle. Monitor and control adherence to these budgets during the year.
Identify and implement new methods of reducing CAPEX and OPEX costs
(e.g. new technologies, network modifications etc) along with network
engineering teams at the circle.
