PATNA to become the biggest Village of the Planet

What they say ....what they do...see yourself.

( Following letter was personally handed over by me to Shri Sushil Modi, Dy CM of Bihar in January 2007 itself, Nothing happened except a few acknowledgements. Anyone can still witness this "Dream Project of PMC", which was given shape during Nitish regime only.)

The dream of PMC : "PATNA can be the biggest Village of the Planet"

Dated January 21, 2007

Shri Nitish Kumarji,
Hon'ble Chief Minister of Bihar,Patna.

Sub: "Patna Super Village Plan" of Patna Municipal Corpn.

Sir,

So what if our Hon'ble Prez find tears in his eyes by looking at the plight of Bihar or Biharis. So what, if the hopes and efforts our NRI brethren to see a "Resurgent Bihar" are dashed but PMC will always be determined to put up the RoadBlocks only instead of removing a single one.

There is a old proverb which says-

"Old habits die hard"

This proverb fits exactly into the philosophy & style of Patna Municipal Corporation, to whom most of the Patnaites have given a lovely nickname "Patna Narak Nigam" also.

My Dear CM Sahib, in your leadership, we thought our Bihar will again be developing in accordance to the norms & standards of 21st century, which was earlier pushed back to 19 th century by the previous Govts. But all this will remain a dream for Bihar, because PMC seems to be very much determined to develop PATNA into the "Biggest Village of the Globe".

You need not to travel too far to witness the glimpse of "Patna Super Village Plan of PMC". Just at the Baily Road under the nose of Shri N.K.Singh, Hon'ble Dy. Chairman of State Planning Board i.e. his ancestral House, the PMC dared to inaugurate this "Maha Yojna" in the last month i.e. December 2006.

They are developing a "Super Sabzi Market" in the midst of a very important road, which acts as the lifeline to the lakhs of people living in the colonies like ShastriNagar, AG Colony, AIIMS, Patel Nagar etc. This road starts off Bailey Road in between JD Women's College & the Boundary wall of the Tribhuvan-Madhuri Niwas ( h/o Shri N.K.Singh, IAS), which has also been identified as an important 100 feet wide road in the "Draft Patna Master Plan 2021".

According to PMC, they are doing this sin in accordance with the order of Patna High Court but Patna HC court has not given any such order 'which says that remove encroachments from the sides of the road and allow encroachments in the midst of the Road' as happened in this case. Patna HC only asked PMC to remove encroachment from the Roads but in this case PMC has established an example of 'officially allowing encroachments on the important Roads'. PMC is doing all this to violate the Patna HC court Order not only in words, but to violate the court order in Spirit also.

You are kindly requested to look into the matter and ask PMC officials to refrain in indulging such kind criminal conspiracies & activities, which are probably aimed to tarnish the image of Bihar as well as Your Govt. It is up to you to take such officials for the task who have dared to make such kind of uncivilized act.

With Best Regards.
