Patna : Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has reiterated his demand for setting up a central university at Motihari,the headquarters of East Champaran.
In a letter to the Union HRD minister Kapil Simbal recently,CM wrote "Most of the universities in the world are situated in remote areas,Such universites are altogether a different world.

He said the state government was committed to provide free of cost a suitable piece of land for setting up the central university at Motihari .
In a three page letter to Simbal, the chief minister urged him to seriously consider his demand and requested him not to insist on places like Patna,Bihata or Bodh Gaya for that purpose.
He said Motihari is a strategically located town,hardly 40 Km away from the Nepal Border.
It may be noted that the Center has accused the state government of not cooperating with it in the matter.
