In an initiative to promote tourism in Bihar, the BSTDC is all set to
start the luxury caravan journeys from Patna to wildlife centres or
religious places of interest in the state on package tours or chartered
basis.

“The caravan would be stationed in Patna. It can be hired for going to
tourist spots across the state. It could be rented out for package tours
or on charter. Under the package tour, it could be taken to Buddhist,
Jain and Sufi circuits among others. It can also be taken on wildlife
circuits such as Valmiki Tiger Reserve, Udaipur Wildlife Sanctuary and
blackbuck safari at Buxar among others.
The cost of the caravan bus is Rs 25 lakh and has been assembled in New Delhi.
Overall, it has a seating capacity for
seven people and the beds can accommodate two children and two adults.
The caravan also has a folding canopy tent at the left, which is ideal
while camping in a jungle safari along with several folding chairs.
The bus has three sources of power supply —
power generated through the engine while the bus is moving, supply
through a power point while the bus is standing at a hotel or through
the generator attached with it.
