HR Officer- Location-Patna in Ujjivan,Microfinance Industry

Ujjivans goal is to provide a holistic range of services to poor working women in urban and semi-urban areas to enable them to be free of poverty within five years. There are many microfinance institutions active in rural India, but very few serve India’s urban population. To bridge this gap, Ujjivans initial focus is on the urban poor. This is a fast growing segment that is relatively new to Indias microfinance industry.

HR Officer
 
Location: Patna
Reporting to: HR Manager
Job summary: Overall HR management of over 120 branch staff in Bihar

Desirable Background:

 Post-graduate (MBA/PGDM) – HR/Industrial Relations
 2 – 6 years of experience in all the HR functions
 Must be fully conversant with hiring process/ recruitment procedure and manpower allocation
 Must be fluent in Bengali, Hindi and English
 Must be willing to travel at least 20 days in a month
 Must be willing to work in the social sector

Job Responsibilities:


• Recruitment: sourcing of CVs, interviewing process, employee orientation
• Induction: joining formalities, basic employee documentation, facilitate bank account opening formalities, etc.
• Coordinating staff training with other departments
• Coordinating training for employees in the three states
• Ensure compliance – ESIC, EPF, tax
• Maintaining employee database, attendance systems and coordinating for leave of employees
• Liaising with Regional Office for employee loan and salary advances
• Visiting branches and reporting regularly
• Coordinating GPA, Mediclaims, two wheeler loan papers for staff
• Following up for employee appraisals



Compensation:

         Rs.150,000 – 175,000
