ITBP sets up its command in Bihar

By Bihar Reporter,bihar prabha.com On 3 Apr, 2012                                              Indo Tibetan Border Police has opened its base near Patna in order to increase its presence in this region. It is headed by a DIG ranked officer. The base command will be located at near Deedarganj on the outskirts of Patna.
Two other units in Katihar and Ranchi are likely to come up soon. The land acquisition for the same has been done.
The command Infrastructure will be developed in due course at the 72 Acres land acquired for this purpose.
DG (ITBP) Ranjit Sinha said this would provide ITBP personnel, many of whom belong to Bihar and Jharkhand and served mostly in difficult terrains along the India-China border, a chance to stay with their family..
