Dr.Trehan said Robots in Major operation become Most Imprtant

PATNA: Noted cardiovascular surgeon Dr Naresh Trehan on Saturday said here that the use of robots in major operations has become important in super speciality medical treatment of different diseases across the world.
He said the use of robots in major operations of neurosurgery, prostrate and kidney had proved to be quite successful. Trehan was leading his team of doctors at a two-day free medical camp which got underway here on Saturday under the aegis of Lion Club of Patna Vishal and Bihar Industries Association (BIA) on BIA premises.
Dr Trehan's team included leading urologist Dr N P Gupta, noted neurologist Dr A N Jha, and leading oncologist Dr Hemant Singhal. The doctors on Saturday examined around 300 people, many of whom had come from rural areas.
Dr Trehan also held a meeting with Patna doctors for the possible infrastructure development for super speciality medical treatment in Bihar. He said that morning walk is important for health and added that after 40 every person should undergo regular medical check-up.
Around 50 cardiac patients who had undergone open heart surgery earlier turned up for check-up at the camp. At least 14 breast cancer patients were suggested operation while the results of mammography of 44 other patients is awaited. Eight children were detected having problems in their heart valve and were prescribed super speciality treatment.
Dr Trehan's team had brought important equipments for different tests. ECG, eco-cardiography, mammography for breast cancer and other tests were conducted at the camp. The team has come with a mobile medical van, Sanjeevani, which carries important medical equipment for conducting different medical tests.
After completion of the camp here, a team of doctors led by Dr A N Jha, who hails from Madhubani, will move with the van in that district to hold free medical camps for villagers.
The past district governor of Lions Club, V K Luthra, and the president of Lions Club of Patna Vishal, Amit Jalan, were present at the camp.
