Mahvir Mandir, Patna celebrates Hanuman Jayanti

   

Hanuman Jayanti was celebrated in patna, Mahavir Mandir with religious fervour and gaeity, on Friday. 6th April 2012,
Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of lord Hanumana in Chaitra month. From early morning the devotees flocked different temples of lord Hanumana to worship him. The devotees apply tilak of Sindoor to their foreheads from the Hanumans body as this is considered to be good luck. According to the legend Sita was applying sindhoor to her head, Hanuman Ji questioned why and replied that this would ensure a long life for her husband. Hanuman then smeared his entire body with sindhoor, in an effort to ensure Rama's immortality,
Various temples of the city were decorated on the occasion  along with smaller temples  decorated on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanthi.
As the idol of lord Hanuman was decorated with flowers, devotees left no stone unturned to decorate the exterior of these temples. Although, people were seen visiting these temples from early morning, as the evening progressed devotees formed a bee line to offer their prayers and sweets at their deity.
Large number of devotees thronged theMahavir Mandir  where special prayers, praising lord Ram and Hanuman. Participated by large number of devotees,
