PATNA: Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will attend the closing ceremony of the centenary celebration of the Bihar Legislative Council
at the S K Memorial Hall here on April 12. According to official
sources, Ansari is scheduled to stay here for about 70 minutes.
Ansari will address a select gathering at the hall at around 11.30am. Bihar governor Devanand Konwar, CM Nitish Kumar,
deputy CM Sushil K Modi and parliamentary affairs minister Bijendra
Prasad Yadav will also address the gathering. The Vice-president will
also release some books related to the centenary year of the council and
the cultural heritage of Bihar.
A two-day cultural programme, including kavi sammelan and mushaira, will be organized at the legislative council annexe auditorium on April 6-7 as part of the centenary year celebration. tnn
